BRIEF HISTORY - MASJID DAING ABDUL RAHMAN

    The first surau designated for the community of Nusa Idaman was in a shop lot. This was in early 2010 before plans to relocate and build a proper surau at the current mosque site. By the end of 2010, the community manage to collect a sum amounted to RM36,000 and Surau Nusa Idaman can finally be built.

In 2012 Surau Nusa Idaman was granted permission to hold its own Friday prayers to address the overcrowded problem of Bukit Indah Mosque during Friday prayer.

Surau Nusa Idaman before upgrading to become a mosque

Plan to further upgrade the current Surau Nusa Idaman into a mosque continues in 2017 with proceedings reaching RM1.2 million with additional donations received from an anonymous donor. 

Within 2 years of construction, the mosque was finally ready. The mosque is then renamed to Masjid Daing Abdul Rahman Nusa Idaman, Iskandar Puteri.

Masjid Daing Abdul Rahman Nusa Idaman is finally ready and was first used for Maghrib and Isya’ prayer on the 17th of February 2019.

Masjid Daing Abdul Rahman received delegates from JAINJ lead by Dato ‘Mufti of Johor himself and his Deputy on the 4th of March to evaluate the new mosque for approval to move the weekly Friday prayer from the old surau to the new mosque.

Alhamduillah, all went well and on the 15th of March 2019, Masjid Daing Abdul Rahman received the approval to hold its Friday prayer in the new mosque.
