The first surau designated for the community of Nusa Idaman was in a shop lot. This was in early 2010 before plans to relocate and build a proper surau at the current mosque site. By the end of 2010, the community manage to collect a sum amounted to RM36,000 and Surau Nusa Idaman can finally be built.
In 2012 Surau Nusa Idaman was granted permission to hold its own Friday prayers to address the overcrowded problem of Bukit Indah Mosque during Friday prayer.
